Environmental Achievements

  • Reduced the weight of a 20-litre container by 48% from 2 kilograms to 1.05 kilograms in 20 years.
  • Developed “Family Green” bio-based products composed of at least 81% polyethylene derived from sugarcane.
  • Implemented waste compressor heat recovery to heat offices and plants.

Mitigation Strategies
  • All sites using fluorine are equipped with large retention tanks to face any fire. Emergency procedures are reviewed in presence of the local firefighters.
  • Preventive measures of business continuity conjugated to a global vision of the distribution of the client portfolio and willingness to control the risk of dependence on sectors and clients (duplication of suppliers and service providers, insurance against customer risks).
  • Update of the Emergency Situations manual to integrate potential environmental emergency cases. An Emergency Plan is aimed to help anticipate actions in case of any extreme event (earthquake, storm, flood).
  • Regular inspection of lightning protection installation.
