Social Achievements

  • Continued investing in our teammates’ development in a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment. As of December 31, 2022, women make up 58.0% of our global workforce, 19.0% of our workforce is in supervisory or higher positions, and of that 19.0%, 57.0% are female. With regard to the Company’s top two management tiers, 68% of our executive team and our vice presidents are women and 33.0% of our Board of Directors are women. Ethnicity is also strongly represented: 54.0% of our workforce and 22.0% of our Board of Directors are ethnically diverse.

Environmental Challenges

  • Hurricane Ian devastated our headquarters town of Fort Myers, Florida in September.
  • Supply chain disruptions and delays in obtaining reagents and basic laboratory supplies in 2021 and 2022.
  • Increased competition, including price competition.
Mitigation Strategies
  • Teammates were back in our Fort Myers lab 48 hours after the storm passed, processing test samples.
  • Established a COVID-19 procurement team to partner with our suppliers to reduce the risk of disruption.
  • Investing in information technology, automation and best practices to continually improve our processes and drive down the cost of testing.
