  • Over 418 acres of State recognized conservation areas, exceeding Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) guidelines.
  • Successfully relocated over 100 gopher tortoises.
  • Provided habitat for endangered Florida Scrub Jays.
  • Designated 50 acres of conservation area for Florida Burrowing Owls.
  • Provided nesting boxes for Southeastern Kestrels, resulting in at least six active nesting sites.
  • Installed a bat house.
  • Created several acres of wildflowers for pollinator protection.
  • Reduced water consumption through various conservation measures on golf courses.
  • Utilized solar energy for several community buildings.
  • Switched to electric vehicles for half of the maintenance fleet.

  • Provided water-efficient options for homes and landscapes through participation in the Florida Water StarSM program.
  • Worked with BLCCDD to ensure reclaimed water services and water conservation goals are met.
