  • Potential liabilities related to land tenure and land inheritance and boundary disputes in the Hanover-Mawakabo plantation area.
  • Land tenure of the proposed solar plant project location in Brownsweg needs verification due to several land application requests.
Mitigation Strategies
  • EBS should ensure that there are no pending claims and/or complaints regarding the construction of the transmission line. A community and stakeholder engagement plan based on IDB policies and principles should be used as guidance in public consultation and stakeholder engagement.
