Environmental Achievements
- Purchasing remanufactured diesel locomotives meeting EPA Tier 3 emissions standards, switch engines meeting EPA Tier 4 standards, and new zero-emission locomotives and trainsets.
- Implementing sustainable design principles in stations and facilities.
Social Achievements
- Launched the Fair Transit South Cook Pilot program, reducing fares by up to 50% on the Metra Electric and Rock Island lines.
- Initiated the My Metra campaign to improve employee engagement and connection.
- Completed 22 station rehabilitation projects and made 5 stations ADA-accessible between 2018-2022.
Governance Achievements
- Created the Project Management Oversight (PMO) office to improve capital infrastructure improvements and funding opportunities.
- Reorganized internal departments, creating the External Affairs Division to better plan for system improvements and coordinate grant funding.
