Environmental Achievements
- Transplanted 30 royal palms, 30 palma cana, 48 coconut palms, and 4 drago trees.
- Cleaned and maintained approximately 2 km of beach, collecting and sorting about 30 m3 of plastic and 200 m3 of organic waste annually.
- Removed 355 m3 of sargassum from the shore.
- Successful hatching of 672 hawksbill, green, and leatherback turtles from 21 documented nests at Playa Esmeralda.
- Recycled 481.31 kg of waste in Santo Domingo offices.
Social Achievements
- Launched and shared Tropicalia’s Code of Conduct and Internal Work Regulations with 100% of employees and associates.
- Fundación Tropicalia’s “Soy niña, soy importante” (SNSI) program provided environmental education and recycling workshops.
- Co-organized a second fundraising cocktail event for SNSI.
- SNSI was featured as a charitable cause at the World Corporate Golf Challenge 2023.
- Delivered a school fund benefiting 2,167 students, 126 teachers, and 16 schools in response to Hurricane Fiona.
- Miches Emprende disbursed 37 loans totaling US$104,514.
Governance Achievements
- Appointed William R. Phelan as President of Tropicalia.
- Appointed Rodrigo Rubio as Vice President of Construction and Design, Sofía Perazzo as President of Fundación Tropicalia, and Katherine Duran as Executive Director of Fundación Tropicalia.
