Environmental Achievements
- Emission and discharge of wastes were in compliance with local laws and regulations. No penalty nor warning was received during the year.
- Continuous R&D work on raising the efficiency use of energy, water and steam.
- Relocation of production facilities to upgrade facilities and streamline processes, improving production efficiency and reducing energy consumption.

Governance Achievements
- Continued efforts to enhance the Group’s enterprise risk management and internal control systems. Trainings and seminars were given to management and relevant staff.

- 16 work-related accidents happened in the Group’s production sites in 2018 (12 in 2017).
- Increased emission levels in 2018 compared to 2017 due to increased production.
- Customer complaints and product returns related to concentration, color, and packaging problems.
Mitigation Strategies
- Established investigation teams to look into accidents and provided extra safety training.
- Implemented realtime monitoring devices connected to the local Environmental Bureau’s network.
- Improved production procedures to avoid future quality issues and implemented product recall procedures.
