Environmental Achievements

• Connected to the Taltal Wind Farm and commenced a power supply agreement with the northern Chile power grid, decreasing power consumption costs by more than 50% and significantly reducing the carbon footprint of the Guanaco operation.

Environmental Challenges

• Six lost-time accidents (LTAs) and eight nil-lost-time accidents (NLTAs) occurred at Guanaco.
• Eight lost-time accidents (LTA) and eight nil-lost-time accidents (NLTA) occurred at Casposo.

Mitigation Strategies

• All accidents were investigated and corrective actions were identified and implemented to prevent recurrence.
• Safety and environmental protection are core values of the Group. The implementation of safety best practices along with a sound risk management program are key priorities for Austral Gold.
