Environmental Challenges

  • Most employees do not really know what CSR is or do not feel concerned.
  • Given the market in which Kalray is positioned, customers are not the main contributors to the CSR strategy.
  • Given the market Kalray has little choice regarding its suppliers and cannot afford to select them according to their CSR commitment.
Mitigation Strategies
  • Preparation of interventions by specialists on certain CSR-related topics, intern communication on Kalray CSR-strategy.
  • Provision of the CSR report for interested companies.

Environmental Achievements

  • Reduced Scope 1 emissions by 6 tCO2e (from 23 to 17 tCO2e), Scope 2 emissions remained stable at 9 tCO2e, and Scope 3 emissions reduced by 259 tCO2e (from 1725 to 1466 tCO2e) between 2022 and 2023.
  • Implemented waste reduction initiatives including eliminating single-use plastics, using reusable mugs, replacing plastic coffee capsules with ground coffee beans, and recycling programs.
  • Promoted sustainable mobility through video conferencing, public transport encouragement, a mobility challenge, sustainable mobility package, electric vehicle charging stations, bicycle repair workshops, and a remote work policy (90% of employees regularly work from home).
