Environmental Achievements

  • Developed and implemented comprehensive environmental management plans addressing air quality, noise, lighting, dust, erosion, sediment control, stormwater, and wildlife management.
  • Undertook extensive environmental assessment process resulting in Environmental Assessment Approval from Nova Scotia Environment and Climate Change on June 4, 2019.

Social Achievements

  • Will employ 50 full-time year-round employees and an additional 150 per launch.
  • Engaging with the local community and the Mi’kmaq through a Community Liaison Committee.
  • Assisting with the upgrade of local emergency response services and providing safety-related employment opportunities at the Spaceport.
