Environmental Achievements

  • Engaged an external consultancy to complete a greenhouse gas (GHG) assessment for fiscal years 2020 and 2021.
  • Implemented waste management programs including recycling at multiple offices and repurposing of equipment.
  • Reduced energy use through unracking UPS modules and planning for lighting and AC sensors installation.

Social Achievements

  • Continued to improve diversity among its growing workforce, with steady increases in recent years in the percentage of women employed among its global workforce and with over half of its US-based employees from underrepresented communities.

Environmental Challenges

  • Increase in GHG emissions between 2020 and 2021 due to an increase in the number of data centers utilized and an increase in office electricity use.
Mitigation Strategies
  • Further explore how data centers utilize renewable energy and verify the use of renewable energy certificates (RECs), power purchase agreements (PPAs), and equivalents.
  • Plan to update GHG assessment annually to monitor footprint and identify reduction opportunities.
