Climate Impact & Sustainability Data (2023)

Supported initiatives to reduce and offset emissions from the greater Brisbane region; supported efforts to build community, economic and ecosystem resilience to the impacts of climate change.

Launched the Australian-first Creative Brisbane Collab. bringing together over 100 organizations and individuals; established four standing subcommittees focusing on Creativity, Connectivity, Equity, and Enterprise; launched a First Nations Board Observer project to increase First Nations representation on boards; finalized the Housing Action Lab project “Blueprint for a Homeness Trust” to address homelessness; increased event attendance by 29%; increased LinkedIn followers by 5956 (29% increase); achieved 8.53% average engagement rate on LinkedIn (industry standard: 2.26% – 3.16%).

Implemented structural changes to enhance member engagement and policy development; established standing subcommittees with a focus on gender equity; amended the Committee for Brisbane Constitution to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Management Committee; increased membership numbers and income.

Established joint industry/association taskforce to advocate for SEQ connectivity; finalized the Housing Action Lab project; initiated research project on jobs and skills of the future; established subcommittees to address diversity and inclusion issues; advocated for climate change initiatives and sustainability.
