Environmental Achievements
- FSC® and PEFCTM certified for 10 years (2010). 15 Business Units are FSC® certified; 14 are PEFCTM certified. 98.6% of paper bought by the central paper purchasing department for French Business Units was FSC® or PEFCTM certified in 2019. 81.6% of paper purchases (excluding France) were FSC® or PEFCTM certified.
- Ecopublishing® environmental footprint reduction baseline implemented. UpCycling offer launched for circular economy.
Social Achievements
- Positive Sourcing program launched, promoting business relationships with Adapted Enterprises (EA) and Supporting Establishments and Services through Work (ESAT). €150,000 budget allocated to the STPA panel (Protected and Adapted Work Sector) in 2019; over €1 million since 2016.
- Implemented a responsible business partner policy, updated in 2019, requiring subcontractors to respect ethical principles, environmental and labor standards.
- Women represented 54% of employees in France on March 1, 2020. A speaking course for women in diversity was organized.
Governance Achievements
- Revised “The Art and Style of Altavia” code of ethics in light of the Sapin II law. Implemented measures to prevent and detect corruption, including a notification system and manager/employee training.
- Implemented mechanisms required by GDPR, including appointing a Steering Committee, IT and Freedoms contact person in each entity, and creating procedures for data management and security incidents.

Mitigation Strategies
