Environmental Achievements

  • Reduced CO2 emissions to 856 thousand tons, achieving the target ahead of schedule (target: 920 thousand tons or less by fiscal 2021)
  • Commenced operations at Hachinohe Eco-Energy Power Station
  • Made active use of FSC-certified wood chips and met targets
  • Released Bleached Kraft Paper and Margari Light, which are new FSC-certified paper products
  • Registered four new environmentally conscious products
