Reduced CO2 emissions per unit of production by 15% compared with the fiscal 1990 level by the end of fiscal 2015; set a new target of reducing CO2 emissions per unit of production by 15% compared with the fiscal 2005 level by the end of fiscal 2020.

Established a new CSR policy in May 2014, comprising a basic policy and priority themes; conducted the Tire Safety Awareness Program, distributing safety pamphlets and offering free tire inspections.

Established a corporate governance structure comprising the Board of Directors, Management Strategy Council, Special Committees, Board of Corporate Officers, and Audit & Supervisory Board; established the Toyo Tires Group Charter of Corporate Behavior and the Toyo Tires Group Code of Conduct.

Medium-term Goals:

Reduce CO2 emissions per unit of production by 15% compared with the fiscal 2005 level by the end of fiscal 2020; increase auto parts as a percentage of overseas sales to 45% by the fiscal year ending December 2016; increase the unit’s sales ratio to 10% by the fiscal year ending December 2016; raise the overseas production ratio of railway car parts to 35% by the fiscal year ending December 2016; grow insulating urethane product sales by 20% during the course of the 2014 Medium-Term Business Plan.

Alleged U.S. anti-trust law violation resulting in a fine of US$120 million; class action lawsuit filed in Canada.

Entered into a plea agreement with the DOJ and paid the fine; actively dealing with the switch by automakers to modular production and globalization.
