Environmental Achievements

  • Reduced CO2 emissions intensity of motorcycles, automobiles, and power products by 27.8%, 22.4%, and 20.8% respectively compared to 2000 levels by 2016.
  • Introduced a zero-liquid-discharge (ZLD) system at a motorcycle plant in India, saving 210,000 tons of water per year.
  • Installed a total of 38.15 MW of solar power generation capacity in China by FY2016.
  • Achieved a 75% water usage efficiency rate at the UK plant by introducing a new filtration system, reducing water use by 3,059 tons per month.

  • Provided road safety and driving education activities for over six million people in Japan.
