Climate Goals & Targets
Long-term Goals:
- CWT to transition to Net Zero by 2050 (latest)
Medium-term Goals:
- Build a strategy to set CWT on the path to achieve a 50% reduction in operations emissions by 2027
Short-term Goals:
- Reduce our carbon footprint to reach Net Zero by 2050
- Develop and submit CWT’s plan to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
Environmental Challenges
- Supply chain disruptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the business travel and meetings sector.
Mitigation Strategies
- Scaled back or paused some ESG efforts to focus resources on transitioning to a new ownership structure and capitalizing on the return of business travel.
- Created a dedicated Board committee for ESG and embedded ESG deeply into the company strategy.
- Functionally aligned ESG more closely with the employee experience and culture under a single leader.
