Social Achievements

  • The company looks forward in 2019 to expand its activities locally and regionally, and to enter new fields to achieve its growth in the future. In addition to the continuation of following up the policy of development and diversity of the services which Kuwait & Gulf Link Transport Co. and its subsidiaries are providing for their customers in order to achieve more profits and desired revenues in favor of its shareholders.
  • The company’s management is seeking to win more of new contracts and projects beside the ones it and its subsidiaries are currently executing with the governmental bodies and the private sector; hoping that the company to acquire more development, progress, and prosperity.

Governance Achievements

  • The BOD of Kuwait & Gulf Link Transport Co. had held (9) meetings during 2018, in which it discussed subjects, strategies, phasing financial statements of the company as well as the annual financial statements.
  • The BOD had formed 3 three specialized committees (Audit Committee, Risk Management Committee, and nominations and Remunerations Committee).

Environmental Achievements

  • Campaigns to clarify the seriousness of carbon emissions from heavy equipment, machinery and buses; efforts to provide environmentally friendly equipment and buses with new models that take into account environmental requirements, periodically to maintain air purity from harmful or toxic emissions, which contributes to reducing pollution.
  • Support campaigns carried out by governmental and non-governmental agencies to preserve the environment; Spreading the culture of separating waste from the source and providing the necessary support to urge community members to do so; Holding workshops and distributing awareness leaflets that aim to educate the community about the need to preserve the environment; Developing the services provided by the group in this field with the aim of reducing pollutants that could be harmful to human health and the environment together; Participate in campaigns that encourage the reduction of energy and natural resource consumption.

Social Achievements

  • Annual media and advertising campaign to congratulate His Highness the Emir of the country and His Highness the Crown Prince and all Kuwaiti people on the occasion of the National and Liberation Days; party for the company’s employees, based on the company’s social responsibility in cultivating the patriotic spirit among the citizen and resident.
  • Participation in the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; work to provide all the needs of the market and the country free of charge.
  • Participation in the celebration held at the Embassy of the Republic of India on the occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day and the 60th anniversary of Kuwaiti-Indian relations.
  • Sponsorship of the meeting of the General Assembly and the Board of Directors of the Arab Tennis Federation, which was held in Kuwait.
  • Support for sports activities and events within its national role and social responsibility in spreading the culture of developing youth skills and putting an influential imprint on the fabric of Kuwaiti society.
  • Semi-annual awareness session to all its employees on the importance of following security and safety standards and measuring the extent to which employees work matches international standards of occupational safety and health; measures the extent to which risks are identified and the procedures used to reduce them, in addition to the development programs followed by the Security and Safety Department, and measures emergency preparedness plans and reactions when they occur.
  • Providing vocational training for national workers to raise their competitiveness; Providing job opportunities without discrimination between gender or age group; Supporting development projects in the country; Applying all security, safety and health standards to the services provided by the group; Holding workshops and distributing educational brochures that aim to educate the community on the environment, health, and security and safety requirements.
