  • Replaced all lighting fixtures by LED of 125W in place of old lighting fixture of 400W, reducing energy consumption to 1/3rd of lighting consumption.
  • Two wind power projects commissioned by the Company during 2006 and 2007 thereby supporting green energy
  • Implemented the “Green Initiative” to enable electronic delivery of notice/documents/ annual reports to shareholders.

Environmental Challenges

  • COVID-19 pandemic which led to lockdown during March 2020, which resulted in the disruption of the business operations.
  • Fire which struck 2 years back at the Chopanki unit.
  • Economic recession; fall in steel prices and stiff Competition
Mitigation Strategies
  • Enhanced safety and hygiene norms at offices, implemented work from home and leveraged digital platforms for its day-to-day operations.
  • Received ₹5 Crores, part amount of the insurance claim and expecting to receive the full settlement soon. The restoration work of the remaining part of the various plants & machinery is in full swing and hope to resume 100% operations by mid of FY2022.
  • Effective business model, quality, services and increased its focus on research and development to counter competition.
