Environmental Achievements

  • Reduced CO2 emissions by an equivalent of 22,700 MT by replacing fossil fuel based grid power with renewable wind energy.
  • Proactive water harvesting initiatives (22 lacs cubic metres of stored water).
  • Reclamation of 69.43 hectares of mined-out area.
  • Planted over 95,000 sampling (mainly fruit and jatropha plant).

Social Achievements

  • Operating a DAV Public School (around 2,000 students).

  • Commissioned 5.15 MW of an 11 MW Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) Power Plant; balance capacity expected to be operational by July 2020.
  • Planted over 9,737 saplings around plant and mine areas; an additional 212 saplings planted in surrounding areas.
  • Utilized 22637 tons of Biomass in Kiln-II and 941 tons in CPP.
