Environmental Achievements

  • Record-breaking 21,021 volunteer hours of work, including community gardening, citizen science, governance, and administration.
  • 8,200 plants installed to help waterways, four tonnes of litter removed, and funding raised for 57 school toilets to be plumbed for flushing with recycled rainwater.
  • 13,279 microplastics classified from rivers.
  • Completed a detailed report collating a decade of shoreline shell data collected from nine beaches around the Bay.
  • Clean Bay Blueprint monitored and mapped microplastic litter across the city’s streets, rivers, and coast.

Social Achievements

  • Worked with 27 affiliate organizations and 300 program partners, including 162 schools and early learning centers, supporting 574 teachers.
  • 15,035 participants in programs, and 73,434 direct physical and digital service users.
  • Multicultural Bay Ambassadors program nurtured emerging leaders in coastal and environmental action.
  • Community Enviro Fest celebrated the EcoCentre’s 20th Birthday, with over 2,000 attendees.
  • St Kilda Repair Cafe repaired 204 items, diverting over 385 kgs from landfill.
